01 — Storage diagnostics
It starts with an honest number.
Free space, total space, and what is actually taking up room — read from the system, not guessed. The gallery analysis only starts when you tap it.
It will not promise you “up to 30 GB” before looking at anything.
02 — Cleanup plan
A plan, not a blind sweep.
Categories ranked by how much they hold and how easy the decision is. You choose where to start, and you can skip an entire category forever.
No “clean everything” button. That button is the problem, not the feature.
03 — Duplicates & similars
Similar photos are grouped, never guessed away.
Bursts, near-identical frames and repeated shots come back as groups with a suggested keeper. On-device comparison, every time.
Grouping is a suggestion. The app never pre-selects your library for deletion.
04 — Review
Item by item, with the consequence written down.
Swipe or tap — both work. Under every card, in plain words: “Delete: goes to Recently Deleted (recoverable for 30 days).”
Marking is not deleting. Deletion still needs your confirmation and the system prompt.
05 — Compression
Compression shows the before and the after.
Current size, estimated size, visible quality. The smaller copy is saved first — the original only moves after you approve Photos’ prompt.
Decline that prompt and you keep both: the original stays, the copy is yours.
06 — Sensitive-content check
Sensitive matches arrive covered and unchecked.
An optional on-device check — Apple’s Sensitive Content Analysis and/or a bundled Core ML model — flags media you may want to review in private. Thumbnails stay blurred until you choose to look.
Results never leave the phone, and are never a claim about identity, legality or certainty.
07 — Private Vault
The Vault: AES-256-GCM, key in the device Keychain.
Photos, videos, Live Photos, PDFs and private contacts inside an app-only encrypted container. Face ID, device passcode or a Vault-only code — plus a recovery code you keep.
We cannot open it. There is no copy on a server and no recovery on our side.
